Tantra, a Special Place

We wanted to end a special day with a special dinner. We’ve heard good reports about the Tantra Restaurant in Doncaster and thought we might try it out.

It turned out to be special indeed. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. We were in for a real treat. The staff made us welcome, looked after us efficiently yet discretely. Our entrees and main courses were perfect in every way. Food always seems to taste better when you get the royal treatment. The restaurant kept filling up quickly; a good indication.

30 years of Eating Indian

After eating Indian Food for 30 years+ on a Tuesday night (around the world) I can't find enough praise for our servers at Tantra Restaurant in Doncaster East. The staff always remember our favourite dishes and competently recommend new flavours. We have introduced many of our friends to this restaurant, resulting in happy returns to Tantra.

An Indian Favourite

My wife doesn't cook so we eat out 4 or 5 times a week.

Tantra is a favourite, we have eaten at all the local Indian restaurants and Tantra is our our weekly night regular. The food is excellent, particularly love the chilli chicken and lamb rogan josh. The variety of flavours provide great tastes. All the serving staff are excellent, attentive and friendly. The new owner has taken the restaurant up a notch with a refresh that enhances the overall experience

Best in Melbourne!

Its hard to find good Indian food in Melbourne and after our favourite place closed down we were lost. Until we found Tantra. Finally a tradition Indian restaurant. The food is absolutely beautiful. However the best thing about this place is the staff. The service is nothing like I've seen. They are so friendly and attentive it truly contributes to the great experience of this restaurant. We will become regulars :)

Great Host and Best Food

I was here on Wednesday evening for dinner with a male friend. After a recommendation from another friend several months ago, I had been wanting to visit this restaurant (Indians are fussy when it comes to Indian food so I knew when my Indian friend recommended it that I should go).

Service was excellent. I called to make a reservation over the phone and I've not ever spoken to anyone on the phone who took my details as quickly as was done - less than 30 seconds - good start. We were greeted very politely at the door and seated very quickly. The ambience was fantastic.

Very Good quality food, great service very friendly. Best Indian around Doncaster. Must Try! We'll be back very soon.
